  • Open tops out to the north and western side of Manson area. Areas of broken faces due south of hut very good for glassing and long distance hunting, as well as great mountain beech areas for day stalking all around hut.

Rangitikei Hut (Korohi Bivvy)

East Taupo Lands Trust Block

  • Steep beech and Manuka sides great roar hunting, can be semi tight hunting but has good open areas also.
  • Some open tops for the fit.
  • Sika and red deer
  • Old 4 bunk bivvy/hut.
  • Flooring is Astro Turf
  • Gas & gas cooker
  • Pots & pans
  • Cultery & crockery.
  • Hunting Conditions:
    1. Maximum of one deer per person plus one per party. (Example: 3 hunters – maximum 4 deer)
    2. DOC hunting permits are required if hunting on adjoining DOC land.
    3. No shooting stags in velvet.
    4. No night shooting or spot lighting or use of night vision equipment, infra-red and or heat detecting devices.
    5. This block is open year round.
    6. During the summer months (Dec – Feb) Fishermen may be day fishing the Rangitikei River. If you wish to fish yourself please get in contact to ensure fishing is available.

  • Beech forest valley’s.
  • Sika & Red deer.
  • Small 2/3 bunk hut with everything in it.
  • Hut has pots, pans, cutlery, crockery, cooker and gas provided.
  • LPG 2 burner gas cooker
  • Hunting Conditions:
    1. Maximum of one deer per person plus one per party. (Example: 3 hunters – maximum 4 deer)
    2. DOC hunting permits are required if hunting on adjoining DOC land.
    3. No shooting stags in velvet.
    4. No night shooting or spot lighting or use of night vision equipment, infra-red and or heat detecting devices.
    5. This block is open year round.
