Hunting Conditions;

  1. Maximum of one deer per person plus one per party. (Example: 3 hunters – maximum 4 deer)

  3. No shooting stags in velvet.
  4. No night shooting or spot lighting or use of night vision equipment, infra-red and or heat detecting devices.

  • Good fishing for brown trout.
  • Good winter hunting area.
  • Suits family parties for summer getaways.
  • Good access to Kaipo Stream & Jap Creek
  • Make sure you know your boundaries – If you are caught on surrounding private land you will be prosecuted under the “Wild Animal Control Act” up tp $100,000 fine and seizure of hunting equipment.

    6. During the summer months (Dec – Feb) Fishermen may be day fishing the Rangitikei River. If you wish to fish yourself please get in contact to ensure fishing is available.

Mangamaire Junction Campsite

Owhaoko BD Trust Land

  • Campsite only.
  • Big Rainbows for good fisherman.
  • Rivers flats.
  • Very limited hunting due to surrounding private and Army land.
  • Hunting on DOC land only, permit required.
  • Block is closed for Hunting 20 Dec – 1 March & 1June – 30 Sept yearly.

 

Upper Ripia Hut

  • 4 bunk hut.

  • Smaller Block.

  2. DOC hunting permits are required if hunting on adjoining DOC land.
  3. No shooting stags in velvet.
  4. No night shooting or spot lighting or use of night vision equipment, infra-red and or heat detecting devices.
  5. During the Summer months (Dec-Mar) there may be day fishermen fishing the Ripia river. If you wish to fish while in the block please contact us and we can book it for you.

Upper Mohaka Hut
